I am a Avid Moose hunter here in Alaska with my Grumman 19’ Frighter Canoe. I am thinking about adding this to my canoe.
I like this idea because you can keep it in the up position and then lower it for stability for when you get out to your fishing spot

This solves a big problem for tippy canoes. Must be out of your element here.
Increase the moment arm to at least 30" and you will change the canoe business!

I have a similar setup but I feel you need the stabilizers out a little farther to give better leverage.
I agree. They are far too close to the hull. I have mine 25 inches away from the hull sides. I can extend them out, even father if needed in bad rough water.

I made a set like this for my canoe using boat fenders an PVC pipe. It turned my tippy canoe into a great fishing boat. I love it.
I'm thinking about the same thing using pvc filled with foam insulation. 🤔 On both sides

Wow you guys have NO clue how to canoe! Absolutely hysterical. Standing in your canoe while its still on the shore, let alone concrete is terrible for it. And then, you pushed off (with your paddle, another no-no) along the concrete. I hope that is your canoe you are destroying. Also your pontoons don't seem to be far enough away from the canoe, IMO. Your lean test was sad, I lean over the gunwales way further than that, and I don't have outriggers. My canoe does have a 36" beam though.

it seemed like this video was more of a what not to do. Learn the proper uses of a paddle and limits of the boat and proper in and out deployment strategies. be safe out there folks.

very nice system just to pricey at $379+30shipping especially when your canoe cost about the same as the system, will stick to flag pole holders and pvc to get her done

Couldn't a second aluminum canoe can be purchased and lashed together for the same cost... or less?
That's what I plan to use, flag pole holders. Going to use 2 youth sit on top kayaks as the floats.

I'd like it better if the "width bars" were lower in the canoe... with some webbing or something they could double as a middle seat, or a dog platform. We all know dogs like to be "up", and not on the floor of the canoe. Just my two cents worth.
That’s up to you to modify as you see fit.

I was just thinking that right before i looked in the comments lol I think this is for people who already have a canoe but want more stability, its not for new buyers.
